Why is it important to ask questions while you are reading?
I can only speak from personal experience, and the answer I would give to this question is to gain information about what you are reading. For example, if I were to read a fictional book, I would ask questions about the characters like who are they and what their importance is to the book. I would also ask where the setting takes place. Lastly, I’d ask what the plot of the book is. I would say that you can refer to these questions for answers that contain background information you can obtain and keep in mind while reading. All of this can then bring up questions about other things within the book. It’s all a learning process. You ask questions to learn about the contents of the book. As you ask questions, and you get answers, you’ll begin to ask more and more questions. This helps you learn the importance of what you are reading rather than being lost.
